About Us

Unicorn Care is a new private counselling practice in Bangkok with a passion for treating adults (18+) who identify as:

· LGBTQI+
· Polyamorous / practicing CNM (consensual non-monogomy)
· Kink practitioners, including those engaging in power dynamics

Members of these communities often experience discrimination and hostility. Our practice works on a basis of inclusion and respect.

Whatever your counselling needs, your lifestyle choices and values will be celebrated. Our fundamental objective is to empower our clients to navigate the difficulties that arise in life with dignity and authenticity.

We can assist you with general counselling needs such as depression, anxiety, coping with significant life changes / decisions, mental health issues including those stemming from discrimination, low self-esteem or negative self-image.

We are also ideally placed to assist those with more specific counselling needs including exploring sexuality, sexual health issues, relationship difficulties, anxieties surrounding transition and/or ‘coming out’, gender dysphoria and much more!
Meet the Team

Dr Stephanie Garner (“Stef”)

I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the Australian Counselling Association. I specialise in working with gender, sexuality and relationship diverse clients, such as members of the LGBTQI+ community, as well as those engaged in alternative relationship models (such as consensual
non-monogamy or polyamory) and kink practitioners.
I practice person-centred therapy and has been livingand working in Bangkok, Thailand since 2012. I hold a doctorate in philosophy (University of Oxford).

My counselling appointments are conducted in English.

As well as on-site appointments, I also have remote appointments available and can be flexible across time zones.

My pronouns are "she" and "her".

Further Information
We provide in-person and online counselling services to any nationality (in English).
Appointments are typically 50 minutes. A free initial consultation lasting 20 minutes can be arranged as a first point of contact if desired.
